SG is brighter. I like the darker sound of the ZV myself.

  2. srunkenhead80 Says:

The SG has a lot of attack comperad to the split tail. i wonder if the tone would be unharmed if you start from scratch the next time?

    they sounds the same!!!
if i didnt watch him changing guitars i would sa its the same guitar

  4. lostmind55 Says:

    from the guitar:
Axcalibur 25 foot cable to MSR ZW44 pedal through monster 10foot cord to Epiphone So-Cal 50H through monster 3foot cord to Epiphone So-Cal 412 speaker cab.

Miked with a “SM57 replica” I purchased from orange county speaker co. Mike into a Yamaha FX500 digital processor, no effects- using as a mike booster only. From FX500 stereo output to Formac Studio input (interface for Mac Imovie)

Camera is a panasonic VHSC into the formac, that is why it says “Pause”

    Thx for watching.

what amp/ effects/pedals are you using? I like to tone.

  9. wytevett Says:

I guess my ears aren’t very good because I really can’t tell the difference. I thought by making the video I was proving the tone didn’t change. Apparently, not though, you guys have a better ear than me. Prolly to much powertool noise wrecked my ears
Any tonal chage is likely caused by removing the extra tone and volume pots from the circuit?
    Thanks for watching.

Yes, the Dean model is pretty cool, and I am sure it is top notch. But, the giant headstock really turns me off. The gibson headstock with the custom shop inlay is my first preference, but the epiphone headstock is a close second. Especially with the custom inlay.

  11. gearguide101 Says:

you sould check out the dean ones there better then the epiphone ones

  12. darkestentity Says:

yeah thats what i mean i still dig yours

  13. wytevett Says:

I think you mean the “SG” hooks? The upper SG “horn” of the real ZV is longer, much like the ESP Viper design. Also, the production model has a maple neck, which I am excited about.

    Thanks for watching.

  14. darkestentity Says:

but then u wouldnt have a badass one tho. see the your v hooks r the same length the signature the left is more. i like urs but im still buying the sig.

  16. adirl17 Says:

    Stock G-400 sounds better.

  17. nickalexrock Says:

    do you love epiphone

  18. wytevett Says:

    Sure took them long enough!

If they would of had this a year ago, I wouldn’t have had to make my own!

  19. HorrorHommie Says:

Epiphone ripped of ur black ZV idea, they also added Bulls Eye Color!! Nice sound!

  20. wytevett Says:

The amp is a “SoCal” 50H
I am running a MXR ZW44 pedal in front of it.
The amp is ok, but the pedal makes it sound great.

The amp in the video is the fourth head I have owned. The first three units blew and were replaced under warranty. When I sent the third one back, it was six months before I got this fourth one. This latest one has lasted a year now, so I think it is pretty good. Still, based on that experience, I won’t be buying any more Epiphone electronics.

  21. sniperpickle Says:

how the fuck did u get an epiphone amp? it sounds sick!

  22. CrimsonHedgehog Says:
