Tears in Heaven (cover) – Eric Clapton – DT Vocalist 4 DEMO
This video is a demonstration of the Digitech’s ability to use recorded music to follow the harmonies. I received a question on my site about whether the Digitech could use pre-recorded music to follow the harmonies. This experiment was done to find an answer. I recorded a guitar and bass track (in mono)on my home computer studio (Magix Studio) using a condenser mic. Then I played it back using a 1/4″ jack from the computer to the DTL 4 effects unit. The end result is that the effect follows the recorded tracks for guiding the harmonies, while I sing and play along live. Thanks for the question. Keep watching & feel free to post comments, suggestions & questions! AND PLEASE REMEMBER TO RATE!!! Ciao tutti.
For the Best Quality Sound & Video, please select “High Quality” under the “views” on the right side of the video. (headphones helps too for hearing the bass & stereo effects)

Micheal, thank you …
Micheal, thank you for posting these vids. I think you do a great job, I noticed i have critiqued several of your vids. I hope you realize i think you do a great job, I’m only a bit critical of the equipment, mine included.
probably,Like you,? i have thrown good money after bad. Alwas looking for the holy grail. however elusive that might be. I really wanted
a harmonizer. but i fear it will be like a bad dream perhaps, in which, a rhythm guitar player leaves you hanging on a lead break.

Thank you for watching & commenting. You’re right. Two guitars and voices are the answer. One guitar and voice? This little trick does help! Thanks.

I think the delayed …
I think the delayed vocals is because the Vocalist can’t make out the guitar chord when you finger pick. If you just strum the basic chord progression, the vocals sound better – i.e. you kind of need two people playing to fully accomplish the vocal effect. But it is an amazing device and you sound really good.

You’re right! Great ears! This was the first experiment with recorded music. Most of these videos I post are not only for demonstrating the effect, but also looking for the advice of other musicians to help me. Thank you for commenting. Michael
